PopOk Gaming Bags the Rising Star in Casino Innovation Award

PopOk Gaming, a company that develops iGaming content and offers it to other operators, received the Rising Star in Casino Innovation Award at SBC Awards, Barcelona, in 2018.

The SBC Awards, now in their ninth year, honor the best casino operators, providers, and affiliates each year. This year’s ceremony produced 40 winners across various categories, including Rising Star in Casino Innovation.

The event was hosted at Palau Nacional, an exquisite building that overlooks the city from Montjuïc hill in Spain, Barcelona. It’s phenomenal that an iGaming organization was permitted to hold its awards ceremony at the National Art Museum of Catalonia — a home for many canonical works of Spanish art. This event represents a victory for an industry that has long been stigmatized.

PopOk Gaming has made a splash this year by releasing several hit games, including Crazy Poki and Diamond Quest. Some of these were featured during the SBC event, creating a lot of buzz among attendees.

Gaming Product Manager Tsovinar Elchyan of PopOk Gaming said: “We are extremely thrilled to receive the SBC Awards 2022 as an innovation and a good example for all involved. It was certainly an evening to remember. Now we are even more motivated aiming for greater accomplishments.”

In 2021, Swintt won the Rising Star in Casino Innovation award. A year earlier, in 2020, Rabbit Entertainment had taken home that prize. And Yggdrasil was in luck in 2019. If one judges their subsequent success, it seems that PopOk Gaming is on its way to becoming a household name.

Betsson Claims a Hat-trick of Victories

For the second year in a row, Betsson Group was named Casino Operator of the Year. Thrills, Guts, and NordicBet are all online gambling sites owned by the Swedish company. Meanwhile, Betsson also won Best Affiliate Program and Western European Sportsbook of the Year for a hat-trick win.

This year, Betsson also walked away with all the prizes at EGR Nordics Awards. Relax Gaming won the Slot Developer of the Year award, wrestling away the title from Pragmatic.

The Swedish industry superstars released the long-awaited Money Train 3 slot, one of the most anticipated slots ever. It acquired widespread acclaim as one of the best games ever made. Katerina Biloruska, co-owner and member of the Supervisory Board at Parimatch Tech, as well as Chairwoman for its Foundation, was named Leader of the Year.

Katerina has played an instrumental role in Parimatch’s success this year, contributing to its growth and saying:

“I am honored to receive this recognition from one of the most prestigious awards in the industry. 2022 is a challenging year, but with the immense support from my team that turns my strategic input into real, significant, and fulfilling results we stand stronger than ever despite all challenges. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to this victory and to those who recognized our efforts. As a Leader of the Year 2022, I can only pledge that we will continue to move forward with the same determination.
